Kayak the Zambezi

AS WELL AS A FANTASTIC PLACE for experienced kayakers, the Zambezi is a great place to learn how to kayak.

The warm water and high volume means that it is neither as unpleasant nor as dangerous when you go upside down, as it may be on low volume rivers in cold climates. The other thing to remember is that literally thousands of people have ended up in the river on rafting trips!

The school runs from July 15 to January 15 each season and the following options are available.

Half-day taster held in the eddy above rapid#6. Course includes all equipment, instruction (approximately 2 ˝ hours), park fees and drinks at the end of the course.
Price: US$75.

Full-day taster held in the eddy above rapid#6. Course includes all equipment, instruction, park fees, lunch and drinks at the end of the course.
Price: US$95.

Four-day intensive, the first three days are held in the eddy above rapid #6 and the final day a section of river is paddled, equal to the groups’ capabilities. This course includes all equipment, instruction, park fees, lunch each day and drinks at the end of each day of the course.
Price: US$250.
